Personal Insights
What matters most to us:
West Paw Design became a Certified B Corporation because we wanted to be a part of a movement that encompasses all we are, not just a piece of it. Our history, vision, purpose, and core values align with the B Corp concept. West Paw Design measures our success not just by profit, but how we treat our people and planet.
What we learned:
The B Impact Assessment inspired us to take a deeper look into our company practices - both in regards to how we treat our employees and the environment. B Corps hold an above-and-beyond commitment to healthier employees, sustainable practices, transparency and accountability which has inspired us to deepen our commitment to the environment and our people.
What we did as a result:
West Paw Design has always sought to be a transformative business leader that unleashes our people's greatest talents to create amazing pet products. Since becoming a B Corp, our employees have deepened our culture by banding together to further our sustainability efforts and give back to our community. Our employee-lead environmental initiatives have led to cost savings, which we’re able to pass along to consumers, while our increased community involvement has become a tangible way to live out our core values.
Features/Improvements we are looking forward to:
We're looking forward to a sharing portal that could help us connect with other brands. We hope to share and learn best practices, as well as discover future business opportunities with fellow B Corps.
